Hello Breakers Blackwatch ..

I want to thank everyone for another great weekend, it was very exciting to say the least & there was a lot of aggressive play to
go with fairly good talent. I felt our team dominated every team we played this past weekend .. so here I go:

4-0 win over Infinity
This was a fun game in which 4 different players found the net & we simply over powered our opponent. The girls were ready to play & they showed it from minute 1.

Assists by: Elisa (2), Stephy (1), Isabel (1)

0-2 loss to Necaxa Team USA
This was a very tough loss for our team .. we dominated 75% of the game, but we simply could not put the ball in the net. Necaxa's goalie made save after save frustrating our attack. We had 3 defensive break downs & we got scored on 2 of them.
It's the team with the most goals that wins, not the best team, bu I am confident that if we play them again .. we would easily come away with a win.

2-2 tie with Arsenal FC White
This was a very aggressive game in which the girls took an early lead, we needed to win 3-0 to advance to the next round and I can't say nothing bad about our effort .. the girls came out ready to play & we would have walked away with a win hadn't it be for a referee mistake on Arsenal's second goal, we all saw the ball didn't go in, but that's the game.

We now take a brief break for this week, I want the girls to do a bit of work during our break & their homework is as follows:
- Juggling for 15 minutes (2 days this week)
- Running for 30 minutes (2 days this week)
- Dribbling for 15 minutes (2 days this week) .. this is for EXTRA credit :)

As our team goes thru victories & losses (deserving or undeserving) .. there are lessons they are learning. Every game brings an opportunity to show what we can do & to show something new, I think it is very important to play the game with a purpose .. we must learn to decide when to shoot into the goal, when to dribble & when to pass .. these are the only options available to us when we have the ball & as we go thru our games the girls are beginning to see more clearly this very complex game.
